GET TO KNOW OUR STORY

Rob and Shalynn were just kids when they first met. Rob moved to Antioch from San Francisco to start a whole new life with his family and little did he know during this new adventure he would meet the love of his life! 
  
Rob and Shalynn were both part of the Antioch Youth Football league where Shalynn used to cheer and Rob used to sit the bench (his first season only). Rob was immediately drawn to Shalynn with her smile, personality and… booty. Unfortunately, she was not feelin’ him. I’m sure it had nothing to do with him being a spoiled only child. He always had to have his way and Shalynn would never give in to him. 

Rob continued to try and gain Shalynn’s attention to be more then friends and he eventually gave up and decided that he much rather be friends then nothing at all. They always hung out with the same group of friends, did things together and went to dances together.   
  
They grew up and went down their own paths but every now and then they would run into each other. The first time in a long time Shalynn and Rob had crossed paths IT WAS IRONICALLY AT A FOOTBALL GAME. The San Jose Sabercats were playing against The Las Vegas Gladiators in Arena Football. Shalynn danced for the Saberkittens and Rob coached for the Gladiators. Rob teased Shalynn while they were warming up on the field before the game and of course Shalynn gave it right back. After the game they spoke briefly but little did they know the next time they connected would start a relationship. Shalynn later admitted to thinking to herself "what the hell was I thinking then when we were younger?!” Shalynn just had this overwhelming feeling and connection with Rob. She felt that she had missed out on something that could have been great. She then slowly came back to reality and thought to herself "we were just kids and he is probably still a spoiled brat” Lol
  
Time passed and life went on. Occasionally friends would tell Shalynn that Rob would ask about her to see how she was doing. That always made her blush a little. Eventually one day Rob wrote Shay on Facebook. They had a chance to catch up and decided to meet up when Rob was back in town from school. The first time they hung out was the world famous TAILGATORS SPORTS BAR! They talked for a couple hours and really got to catch up. It got late and Shalynn decided it was time to call it a night. Rob walked Shalynn to her car and built up enough nerve to ask her for a kiss… she denied. The next time they hung out they went to a club in Sacramento with a few friends. After a few drinks, Rob decided he wasn’t going to ask for a kiss this time. He was just going to go for it… he was successful. That was the start of the journey that got them here today.

ROB WAS STILL ATTENDING THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII AND HE HAD A FEW MORE SEMESTERS UNTIL HE WOULD BE FINISHED. ROB AND SHALYNN DECIDED THEY WANTED TO FURTHER PURSUE THIS RELATIONSHIP SO THEY WERE GOING TO HAVE TO START A LONG DISTANCE ONE. THIS WAS NOT GOING TO BE EASY AND IT WOULD REALLY TEST THEIR GROWING RELATIONSHIP. ROB AND SHALYNN BECAME SKYPE MASTERS. THEY WOULD SPEND COUNTLESS HOURS TALKING THROUGH SKYPE, ON THE PHONE AND THROUGH TEXT. THEY HAD THEIR TOUGH MOMENTS DUE TO THE FACT THEY ONLY GOT TO SEE EACH OTHER A COUPLE TIMES A YEAR BUT THEY ALWAYS KNEW THEY WANTED TO BE TOGETHER SO THEY NEVER GAVE UP.  

The day finally came when Rob came home for good. They were both not only excited to start a life together but as a family. Shalynn and her daughter Kayana waited a long time for this day. It was an adjustment in the beginning but in time it grew into a happy home and beautiful family. Rob became a wonderful father to Kayana and they grew to have a special bond. They now almost finish each other sentences and team up on Shalynn any chance they get.

Rob was looked at as the guy who might never get married but Rob was no match for Shalynn. Rob knew Shalynn was the woman he wanted to spend his life with and felt there was no more reason to wait. He planned an elaborate proposal and Shalynn never seen it coming. He asked at Hannah Nicole Winery in Brentwood with a few close friends and family in attendance. Shalynn said YES! She was also thinking FINALLY!
